• SERIES RECOMMENDATION - Dystopian Romance (Demolition Man meets Vikings)

Men of the North is an interesting series I stumbled across. If you're looking for an easy-to-read series that's a bit "out of the box" in the dystopian/romance genre, this one could be fun. While reading book one, I got "Demolition Man" (90s movie reference) and Viking vibes. A strange combo, I know. But that's why it was intriguing. Christine, the FMC, gave me Sandra Bullock vibes all the way.

It's different from anything I've read, poses some interesting questions about society, and I had a few laugh out loud moments with the culture clashes. I've only read book one - The Protector - but I'm intrigued to read the next in the lineup. It's not super deep world building or crazy steamy romance, just fast, fun, and will leave you pondering "what if."

SERIES: Men of the North by  Elin Peer

This dystopian romance series with interconnected standalones unfolds four hundred years in the future, where women govern most of the world from the Motherlands while the Men of the North rule the isolated territory once known as Canada and Alaska, fiercely rejecting female authority. As the series progresses, a third culture emerges: Old Europe, where emotional suppression and commitment avoidance define relationships. These opposing societies collide through archaeological expeditions, political negotiations, educational experiments, and cultural exchanges that force characters to confront deeply held beliefs about gender, power, and autonomy.
