Darkborn is getting a new pen name!

    Hey Roguelings!

The Darkborn project is being written under a new pen name, and no, it's not a whimsy-made decision.

I created Scarlet St. James for my contemporary romance series years ago, but my darker, more immersive fantasy stories need their own space. Also, this will be clearer for dark fantasy romance readers, since there are authors with very similar names writing in this subgenre. I've already received message meant for other authors, and it will be too hard to change names later on after the series is published. So, this is an unepxected, but strategic and necessary decision to benefit my sanity. :)

You can still find the Saratoga Falls Love Stories when you click the Scarlet St. James tab on Harley's website.

So, I officially introduce you to Harley Blackwell, author of beautiful, brutal dark fantasy romance. You can peruse her awesome, epic website here:

And here's a new series starter for your reading pleasure, written by Harley herself :) I had a lot of fun making this cover. But then, I've had fun making all of the Darkborn covers so far.

Bryanna Thorvold is a lorekeeper who catalogues the forgotten. In the sealed lower chambers of the Royal Archives, she finds a box bearing a dead queen's sigil. Inside she finds scrolls no one has touched in a thousand years, written in Old Nordlic and unsigned, except for a single initial.

The Darkborn were supposed to be a myth. But he was real. They were all real.

Ashkeeper is a prequel short story and your first step into the Darkborn Saga.

Runemarked releases in May, Bloodborn releases in July.

You can download your free copy of Ashkeeper on Harley's new website here: https://harleyblackwell.com/

    I hope you enjoy it!
