Rogueling Roundup 10/6/25
Hey Roguelings!
I have had four days to myself and it has been utterly magical.
I hosted book club, had a girls' day, read A LOT, finishing an audiobook, a hardcover, and I'm 95% finished with an ebook. I LOVE getting books off my Currently Reading/TBR list. I also received the most beautiful email from a new reader, Jake the Physical Therapist, who found the Savage North Chronicles and has found his love for reading again. Heart in throat.
And on top of all that, I've been writing! I am THIS close to finishing up book one of The Darkborn Saga - Bloodborn. I know those of you who don't read Viking vampires and romance won't care, but it's been such a fun ride and a total palette cleanser. When you write about survival and heavier themes like I do, you need something to refill the creative well, so to speak. It's times like this that stories like Cursed are born (my Medusa, Greek Mythology retelling).
So, I have one more chapter to write for Bloodborn, before I can dive into revisions and read the whole draft through, so I'm going to hop back to it.
Oh, and this journal was on my porch yesterday - the neighbor saw it and thought of me. Isn't that sweet!? It made my day.Â
A new week, a new reality. We'll see what it brings us. I hope you're all doing well and finding something to smile about. I'd love to hear about it!
