Hey, Roguelings!
I'm finally on the mend! I have been quarantined for two and a half weeks after a double drug eruption (say whaattt???). It's been bonkers, but the gist is I had a double allergic reaction to antibiotics and it's been pretty miserable. This is the third different antibiotic I've tried that my body rejects, so that's sightly unnerving. Anyway, I talk more about it on this week's Grumpily Ever After Podcast episode (which will have no video, BTW, for you YouTube viewers). It airs on Wednesday.
BUT steroids are my hero at this point, and I'm hoping to have a relatively normal week, wearing clothes and everything! #Goals. I might even get out for a walk. I'm feeling a "the hills are alive" song and spin moment in my future.
In other news (because there isn't much), I struggled to read for book club, despite having so much time on my hands. It just hasn't been the right typo of focus I've needed to distract myself from my discomfort. So, I have been writing. A lot.
I have a Harper novella (picks up 10 years after Skies of Fire) that is nearly finished. That will publish in the next few months. I'll be sending it to beta readers, then an editor, then it will be ready for you all.
Also - you heard it here first - Skies of Fire was selected for a big promo so May 1 it will be on sale for the first time ever for $0.99. If you want to grab a copy, mark your calendar.
And, look what I picked from my garden! Aren't the irises pretty? Only three grew, but you can bet I cut those beauties and brought them in so I could enjoy them while I'm holed-away in here.
